Join Our Team as a 1:1 SEND Learning Support Assistant in Hackney

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate 1:1 SEND Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a wonderful Primary School in Hackney. As a 1:1 SEND Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with learning difficulties and helping them to reach their full potential.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a 1:1 SEND Learning Support Assistant to work in a friendly community school that values enrichment and wellbeing. You will have the chance to gain experience in a school setting and work with young children who have difficulty with communication and social interaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with learning difficulties and help them to access the curriculum
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to meet the needs of each pupil
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective support system
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to pupils to help them build confidence and self-esteem
Requirements
  • Hold a 2:1 degree in Psychology from a Top 30 UK University
  • Have previous experience as a 1:1 Support Assistant and a passion for working with children
  • Be a chatty and bubbly individual with a bright personality
  • Be committed to promoting mental wellbeing and encouraging social interaction
