Role Overview:


The Lead Nurse will serve as the primary nursing authority for the paediatric unit, utilizing advanced clinical judgement and decision-making skills to maintain professional standards while guiding the team in delivering exceptional care to children and their families.

This role involves collaborating closely with the Modern Matron to ensure that daily operations are conducted safely, effectively, and in accordance with the organization's core values and mission.

The successful candidate will be prominently present in their designated area, acting as a mentor and sharing their expertise to foster an environment of learning, trust, and growth.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Registered Children's Nurse with an active NMC pin (No Restrictions on practice)
  • Teaching/assessing qualification (mandatory)
  • Proven substantial clinical experience in a medical setting with the ability to perform at the required level (mandatory)
  • Familiarity with NMC Codes and guidelines and their implications for practice
  • Management qualification or actively pursuing one
  • Experience in a leadership role within a Paediatric Nursing context in either NHS or Private Healthcare settings
