Job Title: EYFS Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our Reception pupils.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position, working 8:30am – 3:30pm, with a competitive salary of £13.50 per hour. The successful candidate will be based in Burnley and will be responsible for providing general teaching assistance to our Reception class.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support children during the transition period from nursery to school, ensuring they feel confident and ready to learn.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, including phonics sessions and interventions, to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Assist with classroom activities and lesson preparations, contributing to the smooth running of the school.
  • Support all students, including those with additional needs, to promote inclusion and equality.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture, fostering a love of learning in our pupils.
Requirements:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
  • Good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and relevant experience working with children in a school setting.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service and a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification.
  • Experience supporting children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs and a strong understanding of safeguarding practices.
