Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate effective customer management by engaging with clients and the supply chain on design matters and aiding in procurement specifications.
- Ensure that all procedures, codes, and standards are accurately identified and applied to engineering and technical tasks.
- Communicate project and task risks in a timely manner.
- Contribute to the Product Safety Assessment process.
- Serve as a technical liaison with both internal and external stakeholders at a detailed level.
- Drive process enhancements within the operational and/or design lifecycle to achieve continuous improvements in quality, cycle time, and asset utilization.
- Utilize engineering expertise to develop technical solutions and documentation for assigned tasks and projects.
- Generate, review, and validate outputs such as calculations, analyses, technical reports, specifications, and method statements.
- Ensure that appropriate reviews, verifications, and approvals are conducted on completed work.
- Plan, execute, and monitor assigned tasks and projects, ensuring that requirements are met in terms of time, quality, and cost.
- Guide and mentor less experienced team members to support their effective performance and professional growth.
- Assist the Project Manager in the planning, control, and execution of tasks and projects.
- Make informed engineering decisions within your area of responsibility and delegated authority.
Qualifications Required:
Essential: - A degree in engineering (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant discipline, with substantial demonstrable experience.
- Experience in collaborative work within multi-disciplinary teams to accomplish a variety of project types.
- Proven experience in managing diverse tasks.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with other disciplines.
Desirable: - Chartered Status or actively pursuing Chartered Status.
- Membership in a relevant professional institute or significant engineering experience that qualifies for registration with the Engineering Council.
