Are you a compassionate and flexible individual dedicated to enhancing the educational experiences of students with diverse requirements? GSL Education is on the lookout for committed individuals to join our team as Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support Assistants in Redditch.
This SEN institution provides a supportive atmosphere for students facing various challenges, catering to a broad spectrum of needs. Our focus is on assisting students with physical disabilities, severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), autism spectrum conditions (ASC), moderate learning difficulties (LD), as well as those with visual and auditory impairments, and Down syndrome.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored support for students with physical disabilities, including help with feeding, changing, and mobility assistance.
- Assist students with severe learning difficulties (SLD) and profound multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) in their educational and personal growth.
- Support students with autism spectrum conditions (ASC) in their communication and social skills.
- Provide guidance for students with moderate learning difficulties (LD) such as dyslexia and dyspraxia.
- Modify teaching strategies to accommodate the unique needs of students with visual and auditory impairments.
- Create a nurturing environment for students with Down syndrome, promoting their overall well-being.

- A readiness to maintain a consistent routine, providing stability for students.
- Candidates who can introduce an element of fun and creativity to engage students, particularly those with backgrounds in drama who are comfortable with playful interactions.
Additional Information:
The role involves supporting students with a diverse range of needs, offering a rich and rewarding experience.
Some students may require personal care, including assistance with feeding, changing, and mobility.
Candidates should be comfortable with maintaining a structured routine for the benefit of the students.
A background in drama is advantageous, as the role may involve engaging with students in a playful and imaginative manner.
