About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Agricultural Engineering Instructor to join our team at Hartpury University and Hartpury College. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support lecturers in the delivery of machinery and workshop practical-based units, ensuring students receive expert guidance and instruction.
  • Demonstrate best practice to students, adhering to current health and safety procedures and promoting a safe working environment.
  • Assist with the purchasing of consumables to support the teaching of engineering subject areas, ensuring students have access to the resources they need to succeed.
  • Coordinate and support students on machinery practicals, liaising with lecturers and farm staff to ensure a seamless and effective learning experience.
About You

We are looking for an individual with a strong background in agricultural engineering, who is passionate about teaching and learning. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external partners.

  • Demonstrate a range of practical skills, with experience in machinery operation and maintenance.
  • Hold a degree or relevant industry experience within the agricultural sector, with a strong understanding of current industry practices and trends.
  • Be a strong team player, with excellent administration skills and a willingness to engage with external partners and industry.
  • Be a highly motivated individual who is passionate about agriculture and committed to instilling students with a passion for the subject and a desire to develop their understanding.
