Job Title: Advanced Recovery Practitioner

Join Turning Point UK as an Advanced Recovery Practitioner and play a vital role in supporting individuals on their recovery journey. This exciting opportunity is part of the Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership, a collaborative effort between Turning Point, Framework, and Double Impact.

About the Role

As an Advanced Recovery Practitioner, you will act as a key worker for a caseload of service users with complex needs. Your primary responsibility will be to support them in developing personalized plans to achieve their goals, maintaining regular contact, and providing advice, information, and psycho-social interventions. You will work closely with in-house clinical staff and partner agencies to ensure a comprehensive approach to care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing one-to-one support via key working appointments
  • Delivering workshops to help service users gain new skills and understanding
  • Ensuring a personalized care package is offered to each service user
  • Providing harm reduction advice, access to treatment and testing, and support to achieve recovery goals
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A substantial understanding of drug and alcohol use and the challenges and opportunities for individuals on a recovery journey
  • A background in Psychology or Counselling with relevant recognized qualifications
  • Flexibility, ability to work dynamically on a one-to-one and group basis, and knowledge of relapse and other barriers to recovery
  • Proactivity and ability to engage with a range of partner agencies to help meet the needs of service users
