We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. As a Liaison and Diversion Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals with vulnerabilities who find themselves in the criminal justice system.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct vulnerability screens and assessments in police custodies and courts across the county.
- Collaborate with partners to manage risk and provide support to individuals in custody.
- Develop and implement diversion plans to divert individuals out of the criminal justice system where possible.
- Provide teaching and awareness sessions to key partners to promote robust partnership working.
- RMN Diploma or degree qualification.
- NMC Professional Registration or equivalent.
- Post-registration training relevant to the service area.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Completion of mentorship course or professional equivalent.
- Experience of multidisciplinary working.
- Experience of working in mental health settings and with service users with a range of vulnerabilities.
- Experience of partnership working across statutory and non-statutory teams and agencies.
- Demonstrable commitment and enthusiasm for working with an all-age service.
- Able to assess individuals with complex vulnerabilities.
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to work autonomously and make clinical decisions.
- Awareness of the criminal justice system and the National Programme for Liaison and Diversion.
