About the Role

Cedar is supporting a Public Sector organisation in their search for a Head of Category Management. This is a permanent position with a salary range up to £85,000 and additional benefits.

The successful candidate will lead operational capability across all categories, ensuring effective use of data and technology to drive efficiencies. They will also develop, motivate and build category, contract and supplier relationship management teams to support the organisation in delivering best value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead operational capability across all categories
  • Develop and implement category, contract and supplier relationship management strategies
  • Build and motivate category, contract and supplier relationship management teams
  • Ensure effective use of data and technology to drive efficiencies
  • Report to the Head of Procurement

Requirements:

  • MCIPS qualification or alternative comparable qualification
  • Strong understanding of Public Sector Procurement Regulations (PCR2015)
  • Experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in Category Management, Contract Management & Supplier Relationship Management within the Public Sector
  • Experience in Construction, Estates and/or FM would be advantageous
