About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our team at Turning Point. As a Recovery Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals on their recovery journey, providing a safe and non-judgmental space for them to share their experiences and work towards their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a key worker to a caseload of service users, supporting them to develop plans to achieve their goals and maintain regular contact with them.
  • Offer advice, information, and psycho-social interventions to service users, as well as providing assessments, risk management planning, and working closely with clinical staff around prescribing needs and partner agencies.
  • Communicate effectively with a range of service users and colleagues, manage different tasks, and demonstrate a commitment to Turning Point values.
Requirements
  • An understanding of substance and alcohol use and the challenges and opportunities for individuals on a recovery journey.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work dynamically on a one-to-one and group basis.
  • Knowledge of relapse and other barriers to recovery, as well as the ability to work creatively and think outside the box.
  • A commitment to Turning Point values and a passion for supporting individuals on their recovery journey.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £24,150 with annual pay progression up to £28,252.
  • A recruitment and retention allowance of £2,172 - £2,542 paid in addition to basic salary, dependent on experience.
