A Chartered Accountancy Practice in Surrey is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Trainee Accountant. Reporting to the Practice Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Statutory Accounts Production: Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts from client records to draft statutory accounts.
- Corporation Tax Computation: Demonstrate a strong understanding of corporation tax computation, interpretation, and application.
- Independent Examinations: Support the completion of or assist with independent examinations, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Audit Services: Provide support to audit services, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Bookkeeping and VAT: Develop a solid understanding of bookkeeping, VAT, and management accounting principles, both practically and theoretically.
- Financial Regulations: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
- Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve working accounting practices and processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
- Ad-Hoc Duties: Perform various ad-hoc tasks as required by the Practice Manager.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must have at least 1 year of accountancy experience in industry or practice. A working knowledge of accounts is essential, and full training will be provided. Due to the location, candidates must have access to their own vehicle.
