Job Summary:

Contechs is seeking a highly skilled Functional Safety Engineer to join our team. As a Functional Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for performing Functional Safety activities on projects for OEM customers in various areas, including Transmissions, ADAS, Hybrid Vehicles, and Electrification.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform Functional Safety activities as appropriate to the project, with support from System Engineers and other Functional Safety Engineers.
  • Understand the intended functionality of systems in a broad automotive context.
  • Generate Functional Safety documentation for the project, following ISO26262: Fault-tree analysis, Hazard analysis, technical safety concepts, and requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum BSc or BEng (2:1) in Automotive, Electrical, or equivalent Engineering.
  • Relevant engineering experience, ideally in Systems or Safety Engineering.
  • Experience of supporting Functional Safety activities according to ISO26262.
