Job Overview

Stealth IT Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Specialist to join our team in Cumbria, UK. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support for our clients' IT infrastructure, with a focus on storage and database engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Incident management and resolution
  • Regular maintenance tasks to ensure system availability and performance
  • Storage monitoring and optimization
  • Hardware, firmware, and software upgrades under change control
  • Racking and cabling hardware
  • Patching network connections

Working Conditions

  • Shift work, following a 2 x 12.5-hour day shifts, 2 x 12.5-night shifts, and 6 rest days pattern
  • Located at customer site
  • Member of a shift team containing one Network specialist, one Infrastructure specialist, and one Storage, Database, and Security Tooling specialist
  • There are five shift teams in total.

Requirements

  • Active SC Clearance and eligibility for DV Clearance
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Storage Engineer with expertise in Dell EMC products
  • Hands-on experience in other areas of IT, such as servers, networks, security tools, and audio visual equipment
  • ITIL 4 qualified, with experience in implementing system modifications via change control
  • Ability and motivation to learn new IT skills
  • Good stakeholder management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A strong analytical troubleshooting approach
