Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely Transport Goods: Ensure the safe transportation of goods across the UK and Europe, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Assist with Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring that goods are properly secured and transported safely.
  • Route Planning and Navigation: Plan and navigate the most efficient routes for transport, minimizing delays and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Customer Service: Interact with customers, providing a professional customer service and ensuring that their needs are met.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with dispatchers, members of the warehouse unit, and senior management, ensuring that all parties are informed and up-to-date.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct regular vehicle checks to ensure that the vehicle is in good working condition, road legal, and free from damage.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 2 years of experience as a Van Driver, with at least 1 year of experience transporting goods in Europe.
  • Warehouse Experience: Warehouse experience is preferable, but not required.
  • Clean Driving License: A clean driving license with a maximum of 3 points.
  • Age: Over 25 years of age.

Working Hours and Salary:

Shift: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm (37.5 hours per week), with 1 in 3 on-call Saturdays (paid at a premium).

Salary: £25,000 + overtime of 1.5x, with all expenses paid trips to Europe including a £25 per day tax-free payment.
