Physical Education and Achievement Lead

Job Title: Head of Physical Education and Achievement Director
Location: London Borough of Wandsworth
Salary: Dependent on Experience
Contract Type: Permanent/Long Term
Work Type: Monday-Friday
The School: A dynamic, diverse Secondary Academy rated by Ofsted as 'Outstanding' in the heart of London.
The Successful Applicant Will:
- • Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree, and, ideally, management training
- • Demonstrate successful teaching of GCSE at good or better level
- • Have experience of initiation and effective management of change
- • Show evidence of raising achievement in present post and showing good value added for groups
- • Have knowledge of current curriculum developments in subject and their implications
- • Have good knowledge and understanding of current educational thinking
- • Show good understanding of how children learn and how to raise standards of achievement
- • Have good communication skills in speech and writing
- • Display excellent organisational skills
- • Be able to build and sustain professional standards and relationships with students
- • Be able to contribute towards creating a safe and protective environment
Key Responsibilities:
- • Lead the development and implementation of physical education and school improvement strategies
- • Collaborate with teachers and staff to raise achievement and improve student outcomes
- • Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and the wider community
- • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures
- • Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and procedures
Requirements:
- • QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree
