Job Description

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Job Type: Permanent or Contract

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at a leading contractor in North London. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering planned maintenance works on a long-term contract for a major housing association in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate planned maintenance works, including new windows, scaffolding, external decorations, mechanical and electrical works, lifts, and other related tasks.
  • Utilize COINS IT system knowledge to support project management and cost control.
  • Work closely with the commercial team to ensure accurate valuations, payments to subcontractors, and contract variations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing quotes, tenders, and project management reporting as required.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping, including meeting minutes, project reports, and contract changes.
  • Collaborate with the project team to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and improve project efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in planned maintenance works, preferably in the social housing sector.
  • Strong understanding of COINS IT system and its applications in project management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
