An exciting opportunity has emerged with Rullion Limited for a Project Site Supervisor to oversee a significant Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) initiative in Braintree.

The key responsibilities for this role include:


Health & Safety Management

a.

Proactively monitors health and safety on-site, reporting findings to the Principal Contractor and providing feedback to the Package Manager through Safety Observation Reports and Near Miss Reports to foster a positive safety culture.



b. Advocates the company's health and safety philosophy, including the 'Life Saving Rules' and '5 Simple Actions', ensuring that contractors comply with the 'Contractors Minimum Requirements'.

c. Directs contractors and site personnel to halt operations in cases of serious health and safety violations or when personnel are at risk.

d.

Conducts regular health and safety audits on-site, discussing findings with the Principal Contractor and ensuring actions are addressed.


e.

Ensures adherence to the Company Accident and Incident Reporting Procedure by all contractors and site personnel.


f. Reviews and provides feedback on all contractors' Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Lift Plans.

g. Assists the Health & Safety Department in analyzing accidents and incidents by compiling and submitting monthly health and safety statistics in the required format.

h.

Reviews the final handover documentation (as-built drawings, manufacturer's data, test results, etc.) submitted to the Client by contractors and comments as necessary.


Documentation and Reporting

a. Generates weekly reports and submits them electronically to the Project Manager in an agreed format.

b. Maintains a comprehensive site diary.

c. Keeps a log of complaints and collaborates with Package Managers/Project Managers to determine appropriate actions for resolution.

d. Captures regular site photographs and organizes them electronically by week or work area for easy future reference.

e.

Maintains commercial records such as agreed quantities for re-measurable work, and details of events causing delays or issues that may lead to claims between contractors and the employer throughout the project.


f. Produces an 'As-built' Programme for reference throughout the project and upon completion.

g. Aids the Package Manager and Commercial Manager in reviewing and approving contractors' payment applications.

h. Advises the Client prior to issuing any formal Completion Certificate regarding the project (or any part thereof), including identifying any outstanding works to be completed after certification.

i. Contributes to the Project Risk Register, which the Client will prepare, maintain, manage, and update regularly.

Site Oversight Responsibilities

a. Engages in regular communication with Principal Contractor staff and site management to discuss ongoing works.

b. Organizes and documents weekly site coordination meetings (where multiple contracts are involved) to address health and safety, interfaces, access, and quality concerns.

c. Facilitates and coordinates client site visits, including Directors' Safety Tours.

d. Manages interactions with landowners, host sites, third parties, and the community.

e. Provides general supervision of all site activities.

f.

Leads detailed coordination and sequencing workshops with contractors to ensure that works are planned and executed with minimal risk to the project timeline and safety.

The interactions between civil works, cabling, concrete pours, PV module deliveries, and PV mounting frame installations should be carefully considered.

Conclusions and plans from these workshops will be documented and shared among contractors to ensure awareness of agreements.


g.

Coordinates with Archaeological and Environmental Clerks of Works to agree on attendance dates as necessary, ensuring cooperation with the Principal Contractor, reviewing RAMS documents, and monitoring the working practices of each project contractor.


h. Monitors the progress of the PV installer to ensure that module deliveries are synchronized.

i.

Oversees the EPC Contractor's progress to ensure that works are coordinated with other contractors and are energized and commissioned according to the project schedule.


j. Observes, oversees, and reports (weekly) to the Client on the construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of the PV systems.

k. Provides full-time site attendance for general project supervision and collaboration.

The site agent will be present on-site Monday to Friday, with weekend work as agreed with the company.


Quality Assurance and Control

a. Reviews material deliveries for compliance with contract drawings and designs.

b. Evaluates and comments on contractors' site safety policies, plans, RAMS, and quality and environmental compliance procedures.

c. Supervises the establishment and setting out of site access, access tracks, hardstandings, foundations, and all PV mounting and infrastructure works. Oversees major concrete pours and conducts pre- and post-pour inspections. Supervises cable installation, drainage, and substation building trades.

d.

In collaboration with the Client's Electrical Engineer, assists with all necessary site inspections and includes findings in the weekly reports submitted to the Client.


e.

Issues Non-Conformance Reports when works do not meet the required specifications or standards.
