Director of External Relations

The Dean Close Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of External Relations to join its Executive Team. This newly created role will be responsible for the overall management, development, and leadership of the Foundation's external relations, including admissions, marketing, and development teams.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of leading high-performing teams and a deep understanding of the education sector. They will be responsible for developing and implementing the Foundation's external relations strategy, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring the effective communication of the Foundation's mission and values.
The Director of External Relations will work closely with the Executive Team to set and deliver the strategic direction of the Foundation, and will be responsible for ensuring that the Foundation's external relations are aligned with its overall goals and objectives.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and will be able to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including staff, students, parents, and external partners.
The Director of External Relations will be a key member of the Executive Team and will play a critical role in shaping the Foundation's external relations strategy and ensuring its successful implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the Foundation's external relations strategy
- Lead and manage the admissions, marketing, and development teams
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Ensure effective communication of the Foundation's mission and values
- Work closely with the Executive Team to set and deliver the strategic direction of the Foundation
