GSL Education is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher to join one of our partner schools in Cleethorpes. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage and motivate students in their understanding of historical events and contexts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the national curriculum or relevant educational standards in history, crafting lessons that encompass a variety of historical periods, significant events, and thematic studies.
  • Develop and modify educational resources, including lesson plans, worksheets, and multimedia presentations, to enhance student engagement and facilitate effective learning.
  • Maintain a disciplined and positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Evaluate student progress through diverse assessment methods such as examinations, essays, projects, and presentations, providing constructive feedback to foster improvement.
  • Incorporate a wide range of perspectives in teaching, reflecting the experiences of various social groups and promoting inclusivity while challenging stereotypes.
  • Organize and oversee extracurricular activities related to history, such as clubs, field trips, and competitions.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in an educational setting as a teacher.
  • Original or certified copies of degree certificates relevant to history education.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or evidence of completion of a recognized teacher training program.
  • Strong knowledge in the subject area of history.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
