VAT Associate Director Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced VAT Associate Director to join our team in Leeds or Manchester. As a key member of our indirect tax team, you will support our VAT Partners and provide expert advice on VAT matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical guidance on VAT matters and lead specialized projects.
  • Prioritize client correspondence and ensure timely updates on VAT work.
  • Lead due diligence projects, review VAT affairs, and report findings clearly.
  • Stay informed about current VAT issues and opportunities, and generate new business from existing and potential clients.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients on VAT queries, ensuring excellent client service.
  • Coordinate effectively with other departments and monitor work in progress reports.
  • Enhance technical knowledge through relevant reading and courses, and stay aware of the firm's services and publications.
  • Identify, engage, and convert prospective clients, and assist other departments in preparing formal proposals for new work.
Requirements:
  • A strong background in indirect tax in the UK.
  • Previous experience working in a practice setting or similar.
  • VAT Advisory experience.
  • CTA/ATT/ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience.
