Senior Planning Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planning Consultant to join our team at CBRE. As a key member of our Planning and Development team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-profile regeneration projects across the North.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a strong background in planning and development, with a focus on regeneration projects. You will be responsible for providing expert advice to clients, assembling and working with multi-disciplinary teams, and supporting the preparation of business cases and grant funding bids.
Key Responsibilities- Provide planning and development advice to clients, with a focus on regeneration projects.
- Assemble and work with multi-disciplinary teams to complete feasibility studies and business cases.
- Support the preparation of business cases and grant funding bids.
- Analyze funding and delivery options.
- Manage and coordinate projects, including business case preparation, development framework strategies, and option appraisals.
- Prepare regeneration and development framework strategies, including analysis of strategic policies, planning policy, development constraints, and opportunities.
- Undertake project due diligence.
- Advise, direct, and manage project outputs from a range of disciplines and professionals.
- Manage financial aspects of projects.
- Work with senior team members to shape and lead client pitches and proposals.
- Identify, develop, and pursue new business and marketing opportunities.
- Professional membership of either the RICS (P&D) or RTPI with relevant post-qualification experience.
- Dynamic, enthusiastic, flexible, and commercially astute with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Good client relationship management skills and comfortable presenting to clients.
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to achieving high-quality client deliverables, and hands-on involvement in shaping and reviewing client deliverables.
- Ability to manage and coordinate the input and activities of other professionals within project design teams.
- Ability to multitask, work to tight timescales, and make decisions with minimal supervision.
- Willingness and ability to identify and nurture new business opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical abilities.
- Confident team player able to work well with colleagues and clients and manage, nurture, and mentor junior members of the team.
