About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Advisor to join our Power Networks team within our Net Zero Energy Business. This position would be based in a flexible work environment, with a mix of home-working and office collaboration time expected. We also welcome applicants wishing to work part-time.


Key Responsibilities


The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering innovative and exciting projects from across the energy sector, either leading on these projects or providing valuable contributions alongside other subject matter experts. Key responsibilities include:


  • Providing commercial, technical, and regulatory advice to clients across a range of project types.
  • Summarizing analysis and assessments into concise reports and presenting findings to clients via meetings and workshops.
  • Overseeing work from Engineers and Graduate Engineers in the delivery of projects, reviewing their work and providing guidance.

Requirements


The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience. Key attributes include:


  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards and regulatory/financial incentives for transmission and distribution network investment in GB.
  • Leadership skills and experience in regulatory and technical due diligence of transmission and distribution network assets.
  • Experience in the preparation or assessment of business plans for regulated utilities and/or innovation project developments.
