We are seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our team at the prestigious Hinkley Point C project. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the construction of the UK's first-ever third generation nuclear power plant, shaping a sustainable future.

The Role

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a pivotal role in building the UK's clean energy future. You will work within the MEH Alliance, collaborating effectively to deliver complex piping and cabling systems. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working from mechanical engineering drawings, general arrangement drawings, and method statements to achieve objectives
  • Performing hand and machine shaping of materials and components
  • Assembling and installing mechanical plant and equipment
  • Testing mechanical equipment and pipework, employing fault-finding techniques and adjusting mechanical plant as needed

Requirements

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Proven experience in the installation, assembly, and precision lining and levelling of mechanical plant and equipment
  • Knowledge and understanding of mechanical jointing techniques
  • Proven track record in nuclear power preferred
  • Experience working on major construction projects
  • NVQ 3 / Ace Card in Mechanical Fitting / Others considered
  • CCNSG Safety Passport
