We are seeking an experienced Chief Subeditor to join our team at Ad Talent Africa. As a key member of our editorial team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, timely content across our project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the editorial production process by liaising with the Managing Editor to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Subbing and fact-checking a wide range of multimedia content to ensure it adheres to house style, is accurate and consistent, and adheres to SEO best practice.
  • Supporting the production process for our print and digital technical journals programme.
  • Working closely with the team to ensure content is created and published in the most timely and creative way.
  • Supporting the Managing Editor in upholding editorial standards and house style across the project.
  • Staying up to date with the platforms, production techniques, and technologies required to complete the role.
  • Contributing to regular team meetings.
  • Supporting the team with additional projects that require their expertise.

Requirements:

  • Deep experience of developing and publishing editorial content digitally and in print.
  • Proven ability to work on multiple multi-channel editorial projects simultaneously.
  • A passion for content publishing.
  • A working knowledge of digital publishing platforms.
  • Incredibly strong attention to detail.
