Senior Data Engineer Role

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of data management within E1 EDF Trading Ltd. You will work closely with stakeholders across various departments to design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines that facilitate efficient data processing, analysis, and visualization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Engineering Excellence: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and store vast amounts of energy market data.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous data quality checks and monitoring processes to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of our data assets.
  • Data Visualization & Insights: Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations that effectively communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends to stakeholders.
  • Database Management: Optimize database structures and query performance to ensure efficient data retrieval and analysis.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business users to understand their data requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Proficiency in Python (3.x) and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Experience with data orchestration tools such as Dagster or Airflow to manage complex data workflows.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI to create insightful dashboards.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Beneficial Skills:

  • Experience with Docker and cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Knowledge of real-time data streaming technologies.
