Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and patient SEN Teacher to join our team, specialising in supporting students with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of P Levels and be able to adapt their teaching to meet the needs of students with a wide range of abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a broad curriculum, including English, PSHE, and life skills, to students with MLD
- Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of students
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
- Contribute to the development of school policies and procedures related to SEN
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised SEN teaching qualification
- Experience working with students with MLD, ideally in a special school or SEN unit
- Strong understanding of P Levels and their application in teaching and assessment
- Flexible and empathetic approach to teaching, with the ability to adapt to different learning styles
- Commitment to promoting independence, emotional resilience, and holistic development in students with SEN
