Job Title: Precision Machining Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Precision Machining Team Lead to join our Conventional Materials Group at AWE plc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of precision machinists to ensure the successful delivery of our manufacturing programme.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of precision machinists to ensure the successful delivery of our manufacturing programme.
  • Undertake task reviews to ensure requirements are clearly defined and all work is undertaken in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Manage production schedules and ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards.
  • Support stakeholders in the development and implementation of production processes and support the Production Delivery Manager in identifying and implementing improvement projects.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a precision machining environment, ideally with experience in milling.
  • Ability to support stakeholders with technical queries, timings, and methods of manufacture.
  • Leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of precision machinists.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with others.
