We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Downe House School. As a key member of our catering team, you will play a vital role in supporting the production of meals for our pupils and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the chefs in the preparation and presentation of meals for lunch and dinner service, as well as other catered events.
- Support the day-to-day running of the kitchen, including food preparation for the salad/deli bar and packed lunches.
- Ensure high standards of food hygiene and allergen information are maintained at all times.
We are looking for someone with previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a contract catering or hospitality environment. You should have a good understanding of hygiene and food safety regulations, as well as health and safety procedures. Full training will be provided, but we are looking for someone who is eager to learn and take on new challenges.
As a member of our team, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, so you should be able to work well under pressure and maintain a high level of attention to detail. If you are a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service, we would love to hear from you.
