About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Light Commercial Vehicle Technician to join our busy service team in Stockton-on-Tees. Our client is a leading automotive company with a turnover of approximately £250 million and employs over 700 members of staff across 12 dealerships and 1 dedicated service centre.
The successful candidate will have a Level 3 NVQ in automotive maintenance and repair or equivalent, with proven experience as a Light Commercial Vehicle Technician or similar role. They will be proficient in diagnosing and repairing various mechanical and electrical issues in light commercial vehicles, with strong knowledge of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. They will also possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
Responsibilities- Conducting diagnostic tests on light commercial vehicles to identify issues and provide accurate repair solutions.
- Performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Repairing and replacing parts including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Conducting thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems and prevent future issues.
- Collaborating with team members and communicating effectively with customers to provide exceptional service and ensure satisfaction.
- Level 3 NVQ in automotive maintenance and repair or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Light Commercial Vehicle Technician or similar role.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing various mechanical and electrical issues in light commercial vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Fantastic uncapped bonus with an OTE of over £40,000 per annum.
- Overtime rate of 1.5x.
