About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with a strong focus on Azure to join our team at 83zero Ltd. As a key member of our data platform team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing scalable and secure data platforms that drive business insights.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Data Pipeline Development: Utilize Databricks and Apache Spark to extract, transform, and load data into Azure Data Lake Storage and other Azure services, ensuring high-performance data pipelines that meet business needs.
  2. Data Warehouse and Lakehouse Development: Implement data models, data quality checks, and governance practices to ensure reliable and accurate data, leveraging your expertise in data warehousing concepts and practices.
  3. AI/ML Model Development: Integrate Machine Learning into data pipelines, leveraging Databricks ML and Azure ML to develop predictive models that drive business insights, and work closely with data scientists to ensure successful model implementations.
  4. Infrastructure Optimization: Analyze performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations for efficiency and scalability, working closely with DevOps engineers to ensure successful data platform implementations.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on Azure.
  2. Proven expertise in Databricks, Apache Spark, and data pipeline development, with a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and practices.
  3. Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform, including Azure Data Lake Storage, Databricks, and Azure Data Factory.
  4. Knowledge of SQL and scripting languages like Python or Scala, with hands-on experience with AI/ML concepts and tools.
  5. Passion for data and a thirst for learning, with a strong desire to stay up-to-date with the latest big data technologies and best practices.
