About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Innovation and Partnership Team, working on the development and delivery of a public Sky Gardening Challenge across Greater Manchester.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and delivery of the Sky Gardening Challenge 2025, working closely with a Senior Project Coordinator to develop and deliver plans, and ensure the project delivers proposed benefits within scope, time, and budget.
  • Work with the Product Development Manager for the Sky Gardening Challenge, the Senior Project Coordinator, and consultants to identify and realise funding and partnership opportunities.
  • Provide direction to the Senior Project Coordinator and liaise with consultants, central and operational colleagues, external partners, competition judges, and suppliers as required to deliver key elements of the Sky Gardening Challenge 2025, including a public campaign, digital/print resources, competition, and targeted on-the-ground support package.
  • Manage risk and escalate as required, reporting to the board.
  • Lead project evaluation, and support the Product Development Manager for the Sky Gardening Challenge to gather wider organisational learning from the Sky Gardening Challenge 2025, to inform the case for upscaling.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with the Trust's systems, processes, and organisational structures.
  • Experience managing projects in a multi-disciplined environment.
  • Ability to lead, manage, and motivate project teams.
  • Ability to deliver results through successful delivery of projects to scope, time, and quality.
  • Ability to manage budgets and control costs.
  • Ability to manage sponsor, stakeholder, partner, and supplier relationships effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good IT skills.
