Position Overview:
The Critical Care Transport Paramedic (CCT-P) is a certified professional responsible for delivering emergency and non-emergency medical care to patients in various settings, ensuring safety and efficiency. This role includes performing administrative and non-technical tasks as directed by supervisory personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administering comprehensive life support, including basic and advanced care, in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Evaluating patients to determine the severity of their condition and prioritizing necessary medical interventions.
- Executing rescue operations and providing medical assistance to individuals in distress.
- Delivering patient care during transport to medical facilities, adhering to established standards.
- Coordinating with healthcare professionals to facilitate ongoing treatment and patient reception.
- Maintaining order at emergency scenes, ensuring the safety of all individuals present.
- Completing necessary documentation, including patient care and insurance forms, accurately and promptly.
- Demonstrating proficiency in patient assessment and treatment, tailored to the age and needs of the individual.
- Collaborating effectively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless operations during incidents.
- Documenting all medical assessments and treatments thoroughly and in a timely manner.
- Conducting regular checks on vehicles and equipment to ensure readiness for service.
- Participating actively in quality improvement initiatives.
- Understanding and adhering to legal and ethical standards in all operations.
- Operating emergency vehicles safely and in accordance with applicable laws and organizational policies.
Physical and Sensory Requirements:
This role requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, as well as the capacity to lift and carry various weights. Candidates must possess good hearing and vision, enabling effective communication and assessment of situations.
Qualifications:
Applicants should have a High School Diploma and be certified as a Critical Care Paramedic. Relevant certifications and experience in emergency medical services are essential. Candidates must also meet specific driving requirements and demonstrate sound judgment and initiative.
