We are seeking a highly skilled Urban Planning Consultant to join our team at AECOM. As a key member of our planning team, you will play a crucial role in the management and delivery of major development applications.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the management and successful delivery of major development applications, including coordinating multi-disciplinary teams across various project types.
- Provide planning advice to colleagues and clients on planning consent requirements and the application of permitted development rights.
- Conduct planning research and analysis and assist with planning feasibility reports and consent strategies.
- Write Planning Statements and Design and Access Statements for development applications.
- Liaise with the Environmental Impact Assessment team.
- Contribute to the preparation of successful commercial tenders.
- Assist with project management and implementing quality and health and safety principles.
- Participate in internal and external meetings.
- Sound knowledge of English planning policy and legislation.
- Demonstrable and relevant experience of working on planning applications.
- Client focus, with good interpersonal skills and collaborative working approach.
- High level of commitment to quality.
- Commercial awareness.
- Ability to write clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work on your own initiative and under pressure.
- Competence in Microsoft Office.
