We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Ransom Road, Woodbridge. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with learning disabilities.
About the Role
You will be responsible for assisting individuals in achieving their fullest potential, promoting their independence, and empowering them to make informed decisions about their lives. Your role will involve providing emotional support, practical assistance, and promoting a culture of inclusion and respect.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities
- Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care and medication management
- Encourage and support individuals to participate in activities and hobbies
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, families, and colleagues

Person Specification
- Care Certificate, is desirable
- QCF Level 2 in Health and Social care or equivalent, is desirable
- Full driving licence, is desirable, but not essential
Eligibility Criteria for Joining Bonus
- If you have not been working in the care industry for the previous 2 years OR have come straight from education (eg, college, sixth form, apprenticeship)
- You must be employed for a minimum of 8 hours per week
- The scheme must be a CQC registered provider in Suffolk
- You must work for at least 12 weeks with Orwell and pass this starting period to qualify for the payment
