About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our Estates team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance and testing of hospital building services systems, attending to day-to-day reactive repairs, and participating in the Estates out of hours Tradesman on-call rota.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and testing of hospital building services systems, including emergency lighting, fire alarms, nurse calls, standby generators, and fixed wire installations.
  • Attend to day-to-day reactive repairs and work on minor electrical installations as required, including repairing nurse calls, sockets, switches, and lights, and installing additional sockets, lighting circuits, etc.
  • Reactively repair and fault-find on plant and equipment, such as motors, control circuits, and fixed electrical wiring systems of a commercial/industrial nature.
  • Participate in the Estates out of hours Tradesman on-call rota, where you will be expected to work on/make safe mechanical equipment out of hours.
  • Participate fully in all relevant Estates procedures and ensure completion of all necessary documentation in accordance with Estates Department policies.
