Senior Actuarial Manager

Salary: £90,000 - £100,000

We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a Senior Actuarial Manager to become part of our team on a fixed-term contract. This position is ideal for an individual with strong technical expertise who is eager to contribute to our dedicated and resilient team as we enhance our methodologies in Credit Risk modelling.

Overview of the Role:

This position is situated within our Group Actuarial & Capital Change (GACC) division, focusing on our Credit Risk Modelling initiative. The team aims to refine our strategies for Credit Risk modelling to bolster both the capital reserves on our balance sheet and the pricing of our Bulk Purchase Annuities.

You will engage in detailed modelling of credit risk drivers at a granular level, alongside Matching Adjustment in stress scenarios, establishing calibrations and the framework for the SCR, drafting reports for expert panels, ensuring adherence to regulations, and addressing implications arising from Solvency UK reforms.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified actuary with a background in modelling credit risks and annuity portfolios
  • Demonstrated success in technical actuarial positions, such as actuarial function/calibrations/MaiS
  • Capability to operate autonomously
  • Confidence in producing work that meets the standards required by the PRA
  • Exceptional stakeholder management abilities, with a talent for simplifying and conveying complex information tailored to the audience's needs
