An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Tax and Accounts professional to join a leading finance practice in Preston. This role requires a dedicated individual with a sound knowledge of tax and accounts, eager to contribute to a dynamic team.

About the Role

As a Tax and Accounts professional, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, preparing tax and accounts for individual clients and businesses, and completing corporate, personal, and partnership tax returns. You will also produce year-end accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited companies, prepare VAT returns, and assist with ad-hoc tax and accounts projects as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, providing tax and accounts services to meet their needs.
  • Prepare tax and accounts for individual clients and businesses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Complete corporate, personal, and partnership tax returns, and produce year-end accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited companies.
  • Prepare VAT returns and assist with ad-hoc tax and accounts projects as required.
  • Liaise with HMRC on clients' behalf, ensuring all work complies with the firm's quality control standards.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant academic qualifications in accounting or a related field.
  • Demonstrated skills in tax and accountancy, with a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
