About the Opportunity

This role offers the chance to advance your career in environmental due diligence, playing a key part in Ramboll's transaction advisory practice's continued success. You will work on technically challenging projects for high-caliber clients as part of a collaborative and experienced global due diligence consulting team.

We embrace flexible and hybrid working, welcoming candidates located within the UK, near one of our office locations, including London, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Exeter, Southampton, Chester, Chippenham, and Edinburgh.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of environmental due diligence projects across various sectors, including data room document reviews, confirmatory site visits, and reporting.
  • Identify, assess, and communicate environmental risks and opportunities to enable informed decision-making by Ramboll's clients and their stakeholders.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of key UK and European environmental regulations and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in environmental policy and regulation.
  • Build working relationships and collaborate with our international environmental due diligence team, enhancing your opportunities to work on diverse projects and rapidly develop your international due diligence knowledge and experience.

  • Demonstrable experience in undertaking environmental due diligence consultant roles across various sectors and client types, including data room reviews, site visits, and reporting for purchaser- and vendor-driven projects.
  • Ability to quickly and succinctly interpret and critically analyze environmental and other relevant information, assess potential risks or opportunities, and propose pragmatic solutions.
  • Appropriate professional understanding of the UK and key European legal framework of environmental liabilities and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work successfully with UK and international colleagues and sub-consultants to ensure timely and commercially successful delivery of environmental due diligence projects and deliverables.
