About the Role

As an Electrical Maintenance Technician with Mears, you will be part of a team supporting fellow trades in our domestic properties, with occasional travel to various locations. Holding a full UK driving license is essential for this role, and a company van and fuel card are provided for travel.

This is a day-to-day maintenance electrician role, involving repairs and answering emergency calls in tenanted properties. You will assist with all things electrical, with experience working within domestic and social housing being ideal. Your responsibilities will include installing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and appliances, in accordance with current regulations and completing electrical certificates and condition reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out electrical repairs and maintenance in domestic properties
  • Assist with emergency calls and respond to electrical issues
  • Install, service, and maintain electrical systems and appliances
  • Complete electrical certificates and condition reports
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve maintenance goals

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation Qualification
  • City and Guilds 18th Edition
  • Inspection and Testing 2391/2 or equivalent
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Experience working in Social Housing
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent customer service skills
