A&P NORTH EAST – Fabrication Team Supervisors

Are you prepared to guide our teams who are defining the future of our Fabrication division at A&P Tyne?

We are in search of several Fabrication Team Supervisors to manage and streamline the operations of our workforce. These roles are essential for maintaining quality standards, advocating safety measures, and enhancing our collaborative work culture.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a Welding or Plating background seeking a new challenge that comes with the responsibilities of leadership.

What will your responsibilities include?

  • Lead, inspire, and oversee a team of welders to meet production targets within your trade
  • Support and encourage team members to cultivate a positive and productive work environment
  • Manage project timelines to ensure completion on schedule and to specifications
  • Document activities, including project specifics, time records, and quality assurance reports
  • Organize and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Implement safety protocols to ensure a secure workplace for all
  • Identify training requirements and opportunities for skill enhancement
  • Ensure operational equipment is functioning properly and address any issues promptly

What qualifications are we seeking?

  • Experience in a supervisory or leadership role with strong interpersonal abilities
  • Knowledge of engineering principles within fabrication or a related field
  • Trade qualifications in the supervised operation with comprehensive understanding of processes, techniques, and equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Awareness of safety regulations and practices in a fabrication setting.

Additionally, you will be required to undergo a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check prior to employment, which includes a basic DBS check.
