About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Safety Case Expert to lead the continued development of our nuclear safety case capability.

This is a key leadership role that requires a strong track record of successful project delivery, including overseeing the full project cycle end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of a strong team to provide leadership and robust management.
  • Oversee key projects from concept to delivery, including design, procurement, subcontract, factory acceptance, installation, site acceptance, and commissioning.
  • Develop and implement strategies for growing the nuclear safety case capability.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for working winning, bidding, and managing the opportunities pipeline.
  • Develop relationships with clients to deliver a 'right first time' approach for the strategy.
  • Keep informed of new developments and requirements affecting the organization.
  • Advise AECOM leadership teams and clients on regulatory compliance, standards, and guidance.
  • Support AECOM and client organizations in interactions with regulators and safety committees.
  • Apply knowledge and experience to resolve crucial issues and/or unique conditions to move projects forward.

Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in developing nuclear safety cases in civil nuclear sectors.
  • Exceptional leadership qualities with the ability to offer strategic advice and influence other engineers.
  • A track record of successful project delivery, including overseeing the full project cycle end-to-end.
  • Competence in preparing and delivering technical presentations and conducting peer reviews of technical documents.
Desired Qualifications:
  • MEng/BEng in Science or Engineering subject (or equivalent).
  • Chartered Engineer in relevant discipline (or working towards).
