Employment Law Opportunity

A reputable law firm in the south coast area seeks an accomplished Employment Lawyer to manage an existing case load with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of post-qualification experience.

Grist Legal Recruitment is a well-established and respected private practice law firm providing legal services across a wide range of disciplines to clients along the south coast and further afield.

The Role
The Employment Lawyer will focus primarily on non-contentious work, advising on all aspects of employment law and HR matters. This includes:

  1. Providing legal advice and assistance to existing clients, while developing their own client base;
  2. Working on claimant and respondent matters involving a varied case load;
  3. Drafting and reviewing a range of documentation, including employment contracts, settlement agreements, and HR policies and procedures;
  4. Advising clients on a wide range of issues, including termination of employment, avoidance of discrimination claims, and advice relating to potential tribunal claims;
  5. Guiding employers through collective consultations, redundancy processes, and the TUPE provisions.
The Ideal Candidate
The Employment Lawyer will be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with an excellent understanding of employment law and tribunal procedure, while undertaking legal research and staying up-to-date with changes in the law and guidance. The ideal candidate will be well-organized, with strong drafting and negotiation experience, and a strong grounding in all aspects of non-contentious and contentious employment law, with proven PQE experience of advising on complex matters.
