We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a local school in Wimborne. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, providing tailored assistance with coursework, assignments, and exam preparation.

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with individual students, offering guidance and support to help them overcome challenges and achieve their academic goals. You will be responsible for:

  • Providing individualized support to students, addressing specific learning needs and challenges.
  • Fostering positive relationships with students, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Identifying and addressing student struggles, ensuring no one is left behind.
  • Offering constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve and grow.
  • Mentoring students on study skills, time management, and career development.
  • Adapting approaches to meet diverse learning needs, promoting inclusivity and accessibility.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should:

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
