Position Title: Site Manager

Reporting To: Senior Project Manager

Business Unit: UK Construction

Project Location: Coventry

Construction North, a division of our UK Construction business, encompasses the Midlands, the North, and Scotland. Our projects typically range from £5 million to £50 million, primarily serving the Public Sector, with select engagements in the Private Sector. Our sectors of focus include Leisure, Justice, Defence, Education, Health, and Commercial offices.

Role Objective

The objective of this role is to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and products to our clients, aligning with project objectives by collaborating with the project team and implementing ISG's culture, systems, and procedures. The Site Manager will specifically oversee the building services engineering design and installation processes, minimizing associated risks to both the project and the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with the ISG Project Manager/Director, Design Manager, Building Services Manager, and commercial team on all facets of the construction project.
  • Generate clear and concise project reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead Health & Safety initiatives in accordance with the minimum standards outlined in the Regions Management System.
  • Work in tandem with the project commercial team.
  • Contribute to the development of detailed package scoping documents for subcontract procurement.
  • Continuously monitor and refine detailed contract programmes in collaboration with the project planner.
  • Create logistic plans and method statements.
  • Identify potential issues and propose solutions before and during the construction phase.
  • Review design and shop drawings, providing input as necessary while liaising with relevant design teams.
  • Possess the experience to identify quality concerns on-site and implement corrective measures.
Qualifications
  • BSc / NVQ Level 5 (Preferred)
  • MCIOB (Preferred)
  • CSCS Black Manager's Card
  • IOSH Managing Safely or CITB equivalent (Minimum)
  • First Aid Certification
  • SMSTS Certification
