BAM Construct & Ventures UK is seeking a skilled Workshop Mechanic specializing in plant operations to join our dynamic team.

This position operates on a full-time basis, Monday through Friday.

Your Responsibilities


• Conduct thorough risk assessments in the workplace, both independently and collaboratively.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to plant machinery, leveraging your expertise and initiative on-site.

• Perform and document regular inspections of plant equipment.

• Execute scheduled maintenance in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.

• Uphold internal plant standards as per Site Solutions requirements.

• Conduct pre-delivery inspections and off-hire checks to ensure compliance with Site Solutions standards.

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all inspections and maintenance activities.

• Provide guidance to apprentices and operators on safe practices and proper maintenance of plant equipment.

• Offer recommendations and seek advice regarding modifications to ensure adherence to Change Control Procedures.

• Identify and suggest opportunities for integrating new technologies.

• Follow work programs established by management and collaborate with operational teams.

• Mentor and develop junior staff members.

• Log all work performed in the company’s electronic systems.

• Carry out workshop inspections as directed.

• Keep the work area organized and safe.

• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations set by the company.

• Support the implementation of the 'Your Safety is My Safety' initiative.

Who We Are Looking For
  • While not mandatory, an NVQ Level 2 in Construction Plant Operations or Machinery Maintenance, or a Level 2 Construction Plant Operative Apprenticeship is preferred.
  • A valid Full Driving License is required.
