Key Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Jig & Tooling Design Engineer to join our team at Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team. As a key member of the Composite Design Group, you will be responsible for developing and implementing cost-effective, innovative jigging and tooling solutions across all core F1 car design functions.

Key Accountabilities
  • Design and develop complex assemblies, including Bond and Assembly Jigs, Machining Jigs, and other specialized tooling.
  • Collaborate with end-users, QA, and interfacing departments to ensure timely delivery of cost-effective, consistent, and accurate project outcomes.
  • Provide consultative support and detailed design input to ensure the efficient production of components and assemblies.
  • Maintain and develop skill levels to industry standard and stay up-to-date with the latest jigs and manufacturing techniques.
  • Work closely with QA departments to resolve assembly-related NCRs and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in jig design and development, with a strong understanding of 3D CAD systems and GD&T.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
  • Proficiency in CATIA and other 3D CAD systems, with a strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
