Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Birmingham. As a graduate looking to gain school experience, you will have the opportunity to support children with additional needs on a 1:1 and small group basis.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work with children in KS1 who have moderate/mild Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia. You will provide individualized support to help these children adapt to school life and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with additional needs
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons to meet the needs of SEN pupils
  • Develop and implement strategies to support children with Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting SEN pupils
Requirements

We are looking for a graduate with a passion for working with children and a commitment to providing high-quality support. You will have experience working with children with additional needs and be able to demonstrate your ability to adapt to different learning styles.

The school is a 2-form entry primary school located in Birmingham, with excellent transport links. The position is ideal for someone who wants to gain experience prior to starting a training course in September 2025.
