Job Title: Year 1 Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 1 Teacher to join our team at Wayman Education. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to our students, promoting their academic and personal growth.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons to Year 1 students, utilizing creativity and innovation to keep them engaged.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing formal and informal feedback to students and parents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan, prepare, and participate in school events, including extracurricular activities.
  • Establish and maintain open and positive communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Utilize a student-centered approach to teaching, encouraging independent thinking and problem-solving.
  • Incorporate inclusive practices into teaching approaches, recognizing the diverse needs of students.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping, including attendance records and student data, in line with the school's policies.
Requirements:
  • QTS, PGCE, and strong academic record.
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 1 students.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum for Key Stage 1.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Highly organized and able to manage competing demands effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Passionate about teaching and creating a positive learning environment.
