The RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our team as a Trainee Manager. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in driving sales performance and day-to-day operations. Your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional customer service, optimizing KPI performance, and maintaining high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring that every customer has a positive experience in our store.
- Store Operations: Support the Store Manager in driving sales performance, optimizing KPIs, and maintaining high operational standards.
- Team Development: Support the recruitment, management, and development of the team, providing guidance and feedback to more junior team members.
- Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of our wine range, managing tasting events and executing an enticing and commercially savvy tasting counter.
- Store Appearance: Take accountability for the physical appearance and maintenance of the store, ensuring swift reporting and escalation of any issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve the operational running of the store, implementing changes to optimize performance.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal policies, processes, and mandatory training, maintaining a safe and legal working environment.
- Experience: Previous experience in a fast-paced, target-driven retail or hospitality environment.
- Customer Service: Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and experience.
- Retail KPIs: Understanding of retail KPIs and ability to drive improvements.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to prioritize and strategically problem-solve in high-pressure environments.
- Communication: Excellent communication and time management skills.
- WSET Qualification: WSET 2 qualification is essential, with a willingness to work towards WSET 3 qualification.
- Driving License: Hold a full UK/EU/EEA driving license for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
