Job Description

Role: Senior Environmental Health Officer

Duration: Initial 6 Month Contract with potential extension

Location: South East of England

Rate: DOE Per/Hour Umbrella Paid

A local authority client of g2 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Environmental Health Officer to join their team for 6 months with a view to extension. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and implementing environmental health policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to prevent and mitigate pollution
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with environmental regulations
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and address environmental health risks
  • Provide training and guidance to colleagues on environmental health best practices
  • Monitor and report on environmental health performance metrics

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in environmental health management
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and policies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK Driver's License
